Topaz Pendant by Edward Linacre
I have stumbled across this stunning pendant and believe it deserves recognition.
The Topaz pendants, by Edward Linacre pay homage to the exquisite geometric chaos that are Nature’s mineral crystallisations. The word ‘Topaz’ has a literal meaning of ‘amber quartz’, which was an inspiration behind the lamp’s creation. The seemingly random yet precise formations of crystal have been translated into an illuminated asymmetrical sculpture that looks unique from every viewing angle. These direct and indirect/atmospheric pendant lamps can be hung solely or groups, where they appear distinctive in form when positioned at various angles of rotation. Brass sheet offcuts are used, reclaimed from Melbourne metal yards.
